Small Groups
Being part of one, or more, of our Small Groups is one of the best ways to grow as a follower of Jesus and meet other people at Leeds Vineyard.
If you are exploring who Jesus is we recommend signing up for Alpha.
If you are new around here we recommend you sign up for our Discovering Vineyard group. This is a great place to start your journey with Leeds Vineyard.
If you would like to join in with our small groups and you have additional accessibility requirements, please email roofbreaker@leedsvineyard.org and let us know how best we can help you access what we do.
Small Groups
Small groups form an essential part of how we do life, care for each other and grow as followers of Jesus together.
Join in with others to explore the Bible, worship, pray and reach out to our city.
NB: Groups will be able to see each other’s contact details (as allowed by personal data-sharing settings in My ChurchSuite) once the sign-up period has ended.
Why Small Groups?
When Jesus came to earth one of the first things he did was to start a small group. In this setting, Jesus trained and transformed a group of 12 very ordinary people into very effective disciples. Later, Jesus' followers met together to worship, learn, pray and share life, with the result that they experienced transformation in their own lives and had a powerful influence upon their communities. We are doing the same in Leeds today!
Acts 2: 42 – 47 describes it like this, ‘They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.' (NIV).
