Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus - Superbook Video

Theme: Jesus showed his love and compassion for people by healing them

As we continue to explore people’s encounters with Jesus, you will notice how important each and every person was to him and how he loved to heal them.

This week we’ll learn about blind Bartimaeus, a blind beggar who kept shouting after Jesus even though the crowd told him to be quiet. They thought Jesus wouldn’t be interested in a beggar…but they were wrong! Bartimaeus believed Jesus would heal him…and he was right! You can read what happened in Mark 10: 46-52 or in a children’s Bible. Try to imagine what it would be like to have been blind for many years and suddenly be able to see again!

Here are a couple of activities linked to the story:

We’ll be learning more about this story at our Vineyard Kids Family Service on Sunday 4pm, and it would be great to see you there! You are invited to bring along some glasses/sunglasses/goggles or an eye patch.

This week we recommend ‘What a Beautiful Name’ from our Kids Worship playlist as we celebrate the truth that we can always trust Jesus! You can access this through the Vineyard Kids Spotify Playlist or YouTube playlist.

Our Vineyard Sparklers sessions have now stopped for the summer, but do go back and watch some of the previous sessions again.
