Leeds Vineyard

Sunday 26th July

Theme: Jesus teaches us to look after those around us who are in need

‘Who is my neighbour?  This is a question someone asked Jesus when they were trying to trick him.  Instead of falling into the person’s trap, Jesus told the story of the good Samaritan to help his listeners understand something new about who God says is the neighbour to whom we should show love.  It’s a fantastic story that has lots to teach us today.

Take time this week to read this story in a children’s Bible or in Luke 10: 25-37.  Have a think about who your neighbour is.

Here are some resources to help you explore this further as a family:

The Good Samaritan

We’ll be talking more about this at our Vineyard Kids Family Service on Sunday 4 pm, and you are invited to make some ‘helping hands’ to show your ideas for ways you can reach out and help those in need around you (details are included in the family resources above).

This week we recommend ‘You are Good Good Good’ from the new ‘We Shine’ Vineyard Kids Album.

For families with 0-5 year old children, do look out for our Vineyard Sparklers sessions on a Wednesday morning.

Hopefully see you at the Vineyard Kids Family Service!
