Leeds Vineyard

Sunday 12th July

Theme: God has designed the world so there is a time for everything, and he teaches us to use our time well.

Do you ever waste time? Do you sometimes find time hard to fill and find yourself feeling bored? I think this is true probably for a lot of us, especially during lockdown! It may not always feel like it, but our time is incredibly precious. Using our time well and for the right things is one of the biggest challenges we face whether we are young or old! The Bible has lots to teach us about this.

Ecclesiastes is a wisdom book by King Solomon, some of the main things it teaches us are

  • That God put order into his creation so there is a time for everything

  • It is important that we remember God and use our time to chase after the right things

You can read this for yourself in Ecclesiastes chapter 3:1-11

Here are some resources to help you make your own clock and learn a memory verse:

We’ll be telling the story at our Vineyard Kids Family Service on Sunday 4pm, and it would be great if you could bring along something that you can do quickly and something you do slowly and you could also have a go at making a clock.

This week we recommend ‘What a beautiful name’ from our Kids Worship playlist. You can access this through the Vineyard Kids Spotify Playlist or YouTube Playlist

For families with 0-5 year old children, do look out for our Vineyard Sparklers sessions on a Wednesday morning.

Hopefully see you at the Vineyard Kids Family Service!
