Leeds Vineyard

Sunday 16th August

Theme: Jesus can heal our bodies, but even more importantly he can forgive our sins

This week, we are continuing our series on encounters people had with Jesus and we are going to discover how Jesus brought both healing and forgiveness to a paralysed man.

It’s a wonderful story of friendship, faith and freedom. You can read this story in Mark 2:1-12 or in a children’s Bible. When you read it, try to imagine what it would have been like to be the paralysed man, one of the friends who took him to Jesus and one of the people in the crowd – how would you have felt? What would you have learnt about Jesus? Can you work out why the teachers of the law were angry with Jesus?

Here is a fun wordsearch to remind you about what happened in the story:

We’ll be learning more about this story at our Vineyard Kids Family Service on Sunday 4pm, and it would be great to see you there! If you would like to, please have a go at making a house (e.g. from Lego) with a flat roof and bring it along to show us.  You could also bring a spade or some rope!

This week we recommend ‘Sing From The Rooftops’ from our Kids Worship playlist as we celebrate the truth that we can always trust Jesus! You can access this through the Vineyard Kids Spotify Playlist or on YouTube.

Our Vineyard Sparklers sessions have now stopped for the summer, but do go back and watch some of the previous sessions again.
