Candle of Hope Prayer
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer. Romans 12:12
To help unite us in our prayer response as a church family, we invite as many as are able to take part in Candle of Hope prayer on a Sunday evening. This is a time when, in our homes across the city, we join with Christians across the nation to light a candle, place it in a window and pray. The candle shines as a symbol of the hope that Jesus brings into the darkness of our challenges.
During this season when we are unable to gather physically, this offers a precious and powerful opportunity to join together in spirit and pray for the God’s will to be done and His Kingdom to come in our city and nation.
We invite you to do this at the time which most suits you on a Sunday evening and the length of time spent in prayer is for each person participating to decide. The following resources can be used to guide you in your time of prayer:
