Summary
What gets in the way of us following Jesus, and what can we do to get back on track when we've taken the wrong turn? In Mark 10:13-16, some children come to Jesus, but the disciples try to keep them away. Jesus responds by saying “Let the little children come to me […] for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these”. As part of this talk, Sarah interviews Alice to find out how she approaches Jesus, some of the things that got in her way, and how she’s worked through this. It’s a story of getting back to the simplicity, dependency and humility of relationship with Jesus, just like the children in the bible verse. Regardless of what gets in the way, Jesus is always ready to welcome us into his presence.
